Why come to Perú?:

As the most varied and exciting of all South American nations, Peru has it all: art, mystery, one of the world’s most fascinating ancient cultures and stunning natural beauty. It is also one of the most geographically spectacular countries on earth. Its variety is astonishing: scientists have ascertained that of 103 possible ecological zones, Peru has 83 within its borders.
As a result, every conceivable scenic attraction is available. The Andes, the second-largest mountain chain in the world, offers unparalleled exploring, trekking and photographic opportunities. Visitors can also observe flora and fauna in the tropical rainforest of the steamy Amazon, visit the many pre-Colombian ruins or step back in time visiting an island at Lake Titicaca.
One can also marvel at the stunning Inca ruins near Cusco and the great city of Machu Picchu located on the Inca Trail nestled up in the mountains. Peru is an excellent destination for those who are interested in culture and history. The Incas left fabulous ruins all over Peru, mainly in the Cusco area, There are also several local festivals which provide excellent opportunities for visiting traditional, colourful villages in the mountains, for example Qoyllur Riti (in May or June)or La Virgen de Paucartambo (July 15th/16th) other Inti Raymy (Junio 24th). Peru is also home to the Nazca lines etched on its coastal deserts, the enormous adobe city of Chan Chan and the Moche burial site of the Lord of Sipán. These cultures left no written records; just amazing works in gold, silver and stone. Undoubtedly, your stay in Perú will be memorable!

Peru abounds with adventure and it is possible to do activities like: kayaking, scuba diving, parasailing, hang gliding, bungee jumping, canoeing, mountain biking, trekking, exploring, windsurfing, climbing, horse riding, fishing, hiking, canyoning, skiing, sand & snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing...clearly an adventurer’s paradise!

Why go to Manu?
Manu is situated in the peruvian part of the Amazon basin and is one of the world´s great wilderness areas where wildlife is still undisturbed and plentiful.
The Manu Biosphere Reserve protects Tropical Alpine Grasslands ( Puna), Elfin ( temperate) and Cloud Forests, High Rainforest and Lowland Rainforest. In these different ecosistems we can find an extraordinary variety of animal and plant species:
So far 15.000 plant species, over 1000 bird species and 200 species of mammals have been identified in Manu.
According to biologists no other rainforest Park can compare with Manu´s biodiversity ( 40 % more bird species than in the brazilian Amazon) and opportunities to observe wildlife, e.g. at the Mammal- and Macaw Salt Licks.
Manu is remote, away from civilisation and scarcely populated, which distinguishes Manu from other rainforest destinations like Pto. Maldonado. Some of the indigenous tribes in Manu have no contact to civilization.
Some birds are endemic to this area as e.g. White tufted Sunbeam(Aglaeactis castelnaudii), Red and white Antpitta (Grallaria erythroleuca), Puna Thistletail (Schizoeaca h. helleri) and White cheeked Tody Tyrant (Poecilotriccus albifacies).
No other area in America offers such excellent viewing of rare or difficult to observe animals. |

CUSCO
Cusco carries the title of the archeological capital of America with proud, because there is no other place in the whole continent where you easily can reach ruins of a amazing culture, which are still in a good condition.
The contrast between autochthon and western, history and present gives Cusco its special beauty. once you arrive to Cusco, walk through the tiny streets and enjoy your ride back in time, experiencing a different atmosphere filled with fascinating tradition.
Cusco, located in southern Peru, is a city with perhaps the most beautiful views in the world. It is surrounded by six mountains, some more than 6,000 meters high, as well as being the oldest city in the western hemisphere and the cradle of the ancient Inca civilization. And, of course, it is known all over the world for its proximity to the amazing archaeological ruins of Machu Picchu. |
